What is Polish Pottery? It is some of the most beautiful, original handcrafted pottery produced anywhere in the world. In the Western region of Poland called Silesia, the town of Boleslawiec is busy creating one of a kind dinnerware, glassware, linens, figurines etc. The history of this pottery dates back to the 7th century. Each piece is handmade from white clay, stamped using sea sponges, painted by hand, glazed and fired at high temperatures. Every piece is lead & cadmium free, unique, handpainted , durable and the perfect heirloom dishes.
These dishes are versatile enough for elegant dinner parties and every day casual family meals. These dishes are even "chip resistant" - great for everyday use. They can withstand dishwashers, ovens, microwaves and freezers. Although, it is recommended that all dishes come to room temperature from the freezer before placing in the oven.

Pottery Types:
Unikat / Signature
Unikat means unique in Polish. The Unikat or Signature pieces are individually made by the best artists. They are signed by each artist and only small amounts are produced. These products are beautiful to use or display.
Traditional
Most factories produce numerous classic patterns such as Old Poland & Peacock. The traditional patterns will include the blue or green colors. Artists
from centuries ago were inspired by the Peacock Feather, which lead to
the pottery being painted with blue & green colors. The blue &
green colors make the pieces easy to mix & match, try it you'll
like it!
